Diagenesis would like to announce The Helena Pierrot Project - a fall 2012 lecture performance of Arnold Shoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire in Helena, Montana to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the piece! Banff Chamber Music Residency :: March 12
Diagenesis is so honored to have been accepted into residency in the Banff Chamber Music Program for 2012. "This three-week residency offers professional and emerging ensembles the ultimate chamber music experience. Each ensemble is provided with their own private rehearsal space, with opportunities to join in group sessions, private coaching, and lectures. In addition to numerous performance opportunities, ensembles are invited to book studio time to record a demo CD." Paradise!
Diagenesis will perform three concerts in San Diego, California in February. We will perform at UCSD on February 6, at the Encinitas Branch Library on February 8, and we will do an outreach concert at White Sands of La Jolla on February 8. We'll also be doing some recording! American Folksong Project :: Nov. 25
We would like to formally announce our American Folksong Project! We have commissioned five composers— Aaron Jay Myers, Scott Ordway, Ben Irwin, Michael Evans, and Sid Samberg — to arrange folk songs. These arrangements will be premiered in 2012. Keep up to date on this project through our blog.
We're thrilled to announce that the first stage of fundraising for our 2011 Debut Concert Tour was a great success! We used kickstarter.com to raise $1255 from the support of 26 backers.
